Greg Shepherd is originally from Portsmouth and is the founder and owner of the Heyes-Lehman (Spain) SL group, which incorporates the Purple Cars, Purple Vans and Purple Permits  companies.

Greg loves to meet new people and is very passionate about his business ventures. He likes to personalise his businesses and do things a little differently, always going the extra mile for his customers. He has a dedicated team who work closely with him to ensure that every detail is attended to and that all enquiries are handled personally.

Greg has, on several occasions, appeared on BBC1’s consumer programme “Rip Off Britain” giving valuable advice and advising consumers on utility-related topics.

In his spare time Greg is a keen golfer and enjoys spending time on one of the many great golf courses in the area.

Mike Edwards manages the Purple Cars fleet and his role is pivotal to ensuring that our cars are well maintained and serviced, and also that they are available, on schedule, for our rental customers.

Mike has a successful track record in the industry; while not quite a veteran, he has clocked up nearly 30 years in the motor trade in senior operational roles in fleet management and hire.

Mike’s outside interests are mainly related to sport especially golf although his handicap is undisclosed at this stage!

Gemma Barszczak is originally from the West Yorkshire town of Bradford. She relocated with her husband and children to the Manilva area in the summer of 2015. Prior to this Gemma worked in the UK’s retail sector for many years.

Gemma has been with Purple Cars since January 2019. She has a natural flair for graphic design and her skills come in very handy when we are promoting both Purple Cars and Purple Permits through social media and marketing.

In her free time Gemma loves nothing more than spending time with her family. She also likes socialising whenever she gets the chance!

Gemma is a big sun worshiper so when she’s not sat behind her desk she can often be found spending time with the family on one of many of the beautiful local beaches along the coast.

Maria Huertas is originally from La Union in the university city of Murcia. Whilst in La Union she was the owner and manager of the local ‘liberira’ which provided books, cards and stationery to the local community and schools.

Maria joined Purple Cars in January 2019 and is our ‘in-house specialist’ who will always go that extra mile whilst assisting our customers. Being fluent in English and having had extensive experience in the Spanish administration systems, Maria assists our customers with changing over their driving licences, applying for residencias, and NIE certificates.

Maria is a keen cyclist and also in her spare time enjoys reading historical novels, especially from the 12-13^th century.
